Days not Working

One important measure of financial health is a number of days you can live without working or (FU money):

Day’s not working = Savings + Passive Income Average Daily Expenses

If your passive income (such as dividends, rents, interest, royalties, and capital appreciations) can cover all your expenses and your investment portfolio is sufficient, you can potentially have an unlimited number of days without working. While this may be a desirable achievement, your ultimate goal is to have a substantial enough amount to support your retirement.
